hello
Hi, I’m Amanda Coughlan - psychologist, resource creator, and unapologetic cheerleader for difference!
I spend my days supporting late-diagnosed teens and adults, helping them (and the people around them) navigate the sometimes tricky and often beautiful world of neurodivergence. Over the years, I’ve learned that real change happens when understanding meets compassion and I’m here for both!

Blending my professional expertise with my own lived experience, I create practical, affirming resources that actually get used. From visual outlines and skill-building tools, everything I make is designed to meet people where they’re at and help them feel more confident, capable, and seen. Alongside this, I provide individual therapy and in-depth assessments for autism, ADHD, thinking, and learning, with the same focus on clarity, respect, and genuine care.

I believe in fairness, trust, and connection. The world needs difference and everyone has their own unique qualities. Neurodivergent individuals deserve to embrace their strengths and thrive to build a life that is worth living.

Thank you for letting me be part of your journey. I’m so glad you’re here.

Qualifications and Professional Experience
Qualifications:
1) Bachelor of Psychological Sciences, Swinburne University.
2) Graduate Diploma of Psychology Advanced, Monash University.
3) +2 internship through the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA).
I am a fully registered psychologist. Instead of completing a Master's program I took the brutal pathway to become fully qualified, which involved working and studying at the same time. All pathways require the same standard of learning and are considered equivalent by the Psychology Board of Australia.

As part of my study I completed a 12,000 word thesis. With our amazing supervisor Dr Pamela Pensini our research group collaborated and managed to publish our study's findings! If you are interested the paper is called Nature guided imagery: An intervention to increase connectedness to nature. Click on the photo to take you there.
